Special Event in Memory of Madhur
Edmonton, Alberta — October 1, 2024 — Smiles Dental Group is heartbroken to announce the tragic passing of our beloved team member, Madhur Dutt, who was taken from us far too soon by a devastating act of violence. Madhur was a dedicated professional just steps away from achieving her goal of becoming a licensed dentist in Canada. She leaves behind two young children, for whom she worked tirelessly to provide a bright future.
In her memory, and to honor the legacy of her dedication to her family and her profession, Smiles Dental Group will be hosting a special event on Monday, October 7, 2024, at our Millwoods Smiles Dental location (2318 24 Street, Edmonton). 100% of the revenue generated from this day will be placed into a trust account, which will be made available to Madhur’s children for their post-secondary education, helping them pursue the dreams and goals that their mother would have wished for them.
Patients attending this event will not only contribute to a worthy cause but will also enjoy a 30% discount on all basic dental treatments and services, in addition to our already below-fee guide prices. For added convenience, Smiles also direct bills all insurance plans.
This is an opportunity to honour Madhur’s memory by providing for the future of her children, while also receiving quality dental care.
Madhur Dutt was a long-standing member of the Smiles family, and her loss has been felt deeply by our entire team. Her commitment to patient care will forever be remembered. This event will hopefully serve as a tribute to her life and a means to help secure the future her children deserve.

About Madhur
Madhur joined Smiles in summer 2018, working as a dental assistant.
Originally from India, Madhur was a stalwart presence at Smiles clinics around Edmonton. Between assisting dentists or educating patients, she built a strong portfolio of work over the years. Yet her career as an assistant was only her first step into dentistry.
Madhur was never satisfied with her achievements and strove for more. She began studying to become a licensed dentist, and made it very close before her tragic death.
